2016 Year in Review

2016 Year in Review

Every year I create what the theme of the year will be. For 2016 I declared it as “Be WiLd!” Everything I would do this year and who I’d be evolved with this theme! I told my friends and family that I hoped I would find a partner in crime to make it even wilder! In February, my now boyfriend appeared through an app on my phone (Coffee Meets Bagel) and we have been inseparable ever since! He has changed my life forever, taught me how to receive love, be vulnerable, trust others, and made this year beyond my wildest dreams. I am so thankful for him and all the wonderful people in my life as we look back to just some of our favorite memories in 2016.

Remember, life is what we make of it. Live it to the fullest because you never know what lies ahead. What will you create for 2017?

My Three Wishes

Bryan Fong and I are currently in the process of developing a travel production company called, Memory Catchers. Our first international trip whisked us away to Italy where we chased old memories and captured new ones. Over 17 days, we traveled through Rome, Capri, Sorrento, Meta, Florence, Cinque Terre, Venice, and Burano. This video highlights some of our favorite moments while touching on my past memories of living in Rome ten years ago. We hope that it inspires you to continue living a life you love!

The Confused Millennial

The Confused Millennial

Recently, I was connected to Rachel Ritlop of the Confused Millennial, an online blogger and rockstar life coach. She has created a community for millennials to share their stories and advice in order to inspire other millennials who are struggling with the same things. It was such an honor to be a part of her community and share my story full of struggles and transformation.

Rachel happened to be in San Francisco during the time she wanted to interview me, so I had the chance to meet her in person. She’s even more amazing with such a beautiful heart and incredible story as well. In this vlog episode, we discuss the quarter life crisis, letting go of expectations and fears, and befriending your struggles to fail forward.  You’ll also hear what is currently happening with my memoir. Click here to read more and below is the vlog! Be sure to follow Rachel in order to continue to get your weekly inspiration from her and other amazing millennials!

Soul-Making Keats Literary Contest

Last year I overcame my fears of rejection and submitted four of my pieces to the Soul-Making Keats Literary Contest.  I heard about the contest from my memoir instructor at the Writing Salon in San Francisco. Amazingly, two of my four won! Both of which happen to be written chapters from my memoir, Be Love.
